Fudoshin Dojo
Kendo at
Albertus Magnus College
KENDO, The Way of the Sword
builds upon the best aspects of the tradition
of the samurai:
ideas that action in the service of a good cause is noble,
that the pursuit of esthetic excellence is virtuous
and that human life is given meaning only when we
display a fidelity to transcendent purpose

We are committed to using kendo as a vehicle to foster the
spirit of calm focus, imperturbability, and confidence that is
embodied in the term
fudoshin.

The dojo is open to all members of the AMC community--
students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

We emphasize traditional kendo training with a balance
between the development of basic skills, sparring, and the
study of kata.
